Common questions about fees and insurance

What if my insurance isn't listed?

If your plan isn't one of the accepted insurers, you may still have out-of-network benefits. Daniel can provide a superbill — a detailed receipt — that you submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so it's worth calling your insurer and asking about out-of-network behavioral health benefits before writing it off.

Is there a cancellation policy?

Yes. Appointment reminders are sent by both email and text — 48 hours in advance, then again at 24 hours. Sessions canceled with less than 24 hours' notice are subject to a $50 late cancellation fee. If something comes up, reach out as early as possible — the goal is to handle it practically, not punitively.

Do you offer a sliding scale or reduced fees?

A sliding scale is available on a case-by-case basis — reach out directly to discuss. Self-pay clients also receive a Good Faith Estimate before beginning services, as required under the No Surprises Act.

How does payment work if I'm using insurance?

Claims are submitted on your behalf. You're responsible for any copay or coinsurance at the time of service — the amount your plan requires, not the full session fee. If you're self-pay, payment is due at the end of each session. Daniel accepts major credit and debit cards.

Have questions?

If something here isn't clear, or if you'd like to ask about insurance before scheduling, feel free to reach out directly. The goal is to make this easy, not to make you work for basic information.
